Photo: Together, We Are Strong

One of the attendees at Jack Layton's Burnaby rally on Saturday was carrying this hand-painted sign - I first started coming across this imagery while following the Wisconsin protests a couple of months ago, though I know it's much older than that. But the truth remains. The Conservatives are counting on progressives, their opponents, to stay home today. Like I wrote yesterday, they want you to be afraid.

They're the ones who should be afraid.

It's raining now in New Westminster. If it's raining where you are right now, don't let those drops of water falling from the sky stand between you and the polling station! Avoiding a bit of dampness is not worth what we would get between now and 2015 if the Conservatives manage to eke out a majority... and if we stay home, that's exactly what they will do.

So go out and vote. Find your polling station if you don't know where to go. Help make the future!
