One thing I've learned over the years is that it's notoriously difficult to take a photograph of a crow if that crow doesn't want to be photographed. They're hard to predict, really--in an instant they can go from sitting on a ledge to a flurry of wings. This crow, while taking a break on the railing at Westminster Pier Park, stayed still long enough for me to get three photos.
That dead, black eye it has kind of creeps me out, though.
