PDP #65: Welcome to Toronto

This photo was taken last Saturday, the sixth day of the Toronto city workers' strike, on Queen Street West east of Spadina. While some garbage cans are in such low-trafficked areas that they may still be pristine, Queen West is such a pedestrian-heavy district that it's a wonder the overflow was this limited.

"We've been expecting you," a friend at the scene observed. "We just didn't give a damn."
