This photo was taken last Saturday, the sixth day of the Toronto city workers' strike, on Queen Street West east of Spadina. While some garbage cans are in such low-trafficked areas that they may still be pristine, Queen West is such a pedestrian-heavy district that it's a wonder the overflow was this limited.
"We've been expecting you," a friend at the scene observed. "We just didn't give a damn."
